Name

fastboot, fasthalt - reboot/halt the system without checking the disks

Synopsis

/usr/ucb/fastboot [boot-options]
/usr/ucb/fasthalt [halt-options]

Description

fastboot and fasthalt are shell scripts that invoke reboot and halt with the proper arguments.

These commands are provided for compatibility only.

Notes

This command is obsolete and will be removed in a future release of Oracle Solaris. See shutdown(1M), init (1M), or reboot (1M) for alternate ways to reboot system.
