Install the ATG Merchandising application on your asset management server. Before you begin, you must have the following software installed on your network:
One of the following application servers: JBoss application server, Oracle WebLogic Server, or IBM WebSphere Application Server. For installation and configuration instructions, see the ATG Installation and Configuration Guide.
ATG Adaptive Scenario Engine
ATG Commerce
ATG Content Administration
If you want to use the add-on ATG Search features, such as Faceted Search or Search Merchandising, you must also install ATG Search and ATG Commerce Search. See the ATG Commerce Search Guide for instructions.
Follow these steps to install ATG Merchandising:
Download one of the following distribution files:
Windows:
ATG-Merchandising9.3.exeUNIX:
ATG-Merchandising9.3.jar
Run the downloaded file.
After you complete the installation, use the Configuration and Installation Manager (CIM) to configure the ATG Content Administration database for ATG Merchandising, import the required content, and assemble and deploy the ATG Merchandising application. See Using the Configuration and Installation Manager (CIM).
Alternatively, you can manually configure the ATG Content Administration database to support ATG Merchandising. See Configuring ATG Merchandising Database Tables.
