After you have created and saved search tests and search test folders, you can move, copy, rename, or delete them at any time, inside or outside of a project. You can perform these tasks in both the My Search Tests and the Shared Search Tests folders. When you make changes to tests or folders stored in the Shared Search Tests folder, keep in mind that your changes might affect other ATG Merchandising users.
Moving a Search Test or a Search Test Folder
After you save a search test or create a search test folder, you can choose to change the parent folder and move it to a new location. You might, for example, want to move tests from My Search Tests to Shared Search Tests so other users can run and edit them.
To move a search test or search test folder to a new location:
In the Search Testing tree, select the test or folder that you want to move. If you choose a folder, all contents of the folder will also be moved.
The test or folder appears in the Details pane.
Next to the Parent Folder field, click Select.
In the dialog that appears, select the parent folder where you want to move the test or folder and click OK.
Copying a Search Test or a Search Test Folder
To create a new search test or new search folder by copying an existing test or folder:
In the Search Testing tree, click the checkbox next to each test or folder you want to copy. If you select a folder, the items it contains will also be copied.
Note: Only the selected search tests and search tests folders are copied to the new location. The contents of a folder are not automatically copied.
In the toolbar, click the Duplicate button.
In the Select a Destination dialog, select a parent folder for the copies and click OK. The copied items can have the same parent folder as the original items.
To create a copy that is accessible only from your account, select a location in the My Search Tests folder.
To create a copy that is accessible by others users, select a location in the Shared Search Tests folder.
Renaming a Search Test or a Search Test Folder
To rename a search test or a search test folder:
In the Search Testing tree, click the test or folder you want to rename.
The test or folder appears in the Details pane.
Type a new name in the Name field.
Click Save.
Deleting a Search Test or a Search Test Folder
To delete a search test or search test folder and all of its contents:
In the Search Testing tree, click the checkbox next to each test or folder you want to delete.
Caution: If you select a folder, all items it contains, including nested folders and their contents, will also be deleted.
In the toolbar, click the Delete button.
