As installed, the Asset Manager supports three binary file types as Media-Internal-Binary assets: JPG, GIF, and PNG. The Asset Manager displays these images in the Data property of the General properties tab when you create a new Media-Internal-Binary asset. You can extend the supported file types by modifying the validExtensions property of component /atg/web/assetmanager/editor/IsValidImageName. For example, you can add PDF and Word documents to the list of supported file types as follows:
validExtensions=.jpg, .gif, .png, .pdf, .doc
Given these settings, the Asset Manager provides access to PDF or Word document assets via hyperlinks in the Data property of the General tab.
