Remove the NVMe Switch Card

You must power off the server to replace the NVMe switch card.

1. Prepare the server for service.

   See Preparing for Service.

2. Disconnect the NVMe cables that are attached to the switch card.
3. Remove the switch card from the chassis.

   The steps to physically remove the switch card are the same as the steps for PCIe cards. For detailed instructions, see Remove a PCIe Card.

   Caution  -  The switch card is supported only in Slot 5. You must install a replacement card in the same slot.

4. Install the switch card.

   The steps to physically install the switch card are the same as the steps for PCIe cards. For detailed instructions, see Install a PCIe Card.
