After you install a SAS drive, you can verify its functionality.

where x is 0 to 7.
If you installed a new drive as part of a replacement operation, verify that the drive is no longer considered faulty, then return to this procedure. See Locate a Faulty Drive.
If you installed a new drive to increase functionality, go to Step 4.
Depending on the nature of the replaced drive, you might need to perform administrative tasks to reinstall software before the server can boot. Refer to the OS documentation for more information.
