Rotate the Drive Cage to the Service Position

1. Complete these prerequisites in this order.

   • Remove the Top Cover

   • Remove a Fan Module

     Remove all fan modules.

   • Remove the Fan Tray

2. Disconnect the cables attached to the drive backplane, and the cable attached to the USB board.

   The cables are shown in the illustration in System Cable Configuration.

   Note -  Depending on your server's configuration, you might not have the DVD SATA cable,or the NVMe drive cables as seen in the illustration.

   ---

3. Fully loosen the four screws securing the drive cage to the chassis.
   
4. Rotate the drive cage to the vertical position.
   
5. Consider your next step.

   • Service the drive backplane.
