Install the Air Duct

Perform this task when you have previously removed the air duct.

1. If you previously removed the PSU duct, install it.

   See Install the PSU Duct.

2. Move any loose cables to the gap between the DIMMs and the chassis walls.
3. Align the air duct to where it installs into the chassis.
   
4. Lower the air duct onto the alignment pins.
5. Set the left (L) thumbscrew bracket over the alignment pins and slide it rearward.
   
6. Tighten the thumbscrew.
   
7. Consider your next step.

   • If you installed the air duct as part of another component's removal or installation procedure, return to that procedure. See Component Service Task Reference for assistance.

   • Otherwise, secure the drive cage.
