Install the Top Cover

Perform this task when you have previously removed the top cover.

1. If you previously removed the PSU duct, removed the air duct, raised the drive cage, or removed the fan tray, complete these prerequisites, as necessary, in this order.

   • Install the PSU Duct

   • Install the Air Duct

   • Secure the Drive Cage

   • Install the Fan Tray

   • Install a Fan Module

     Install all fan modules.

2. Position the top cover on the chassis, with the front edge of the top cover 0.5 in. (13 mm) rearward of the front edge of the chassis.
   
3. Slide the top cover forward into place.
4. Secure the top cover with the two captive screws at the rear.
   
5. Install the server into the rack.

6. Connect the power cords.
