SAS Drive Configuration
The server is shipped with one of two drive configurations. The server can have six drives and a DVD drive, or eight drives and no internal DVD drive. For both configurations, the locations and Oracle ILOM targets for drives 0 through 5 are identical. The DVD drive occupies the space where drives 6 and 7 would have installed. See Component Locations (Storage, Power, and Fan Modules).
Note - It is not possible to swap drives 6 and 7 for a DVD drive. Nor is it possible to swap a DVD drive for drives 6 and 7. The drive cages are specific for the configurations and are not interchangeable.

The filters for the two configurations are also configuration-specific.
