Remove the Air Duct

1. Prepare the server for service.

   See Preparing the Server for Component Replacement.

2. Disconnect the fan tray 0 power cable from the PCI Mezzanine and remove the cable from the air duct???s retention clips.
   
3. Remove any full-length, full-height PCIe2 cards installed on the PCI Mezzanine.

   Disconnect any internal cables connected to the cards. See Remove PCIe2 Cards From Slots 4 and 5.

   ---

   Note - You do not need to remove the PCI mezzanine.

   ---

4. Facing the server, release the tab on the right of the air duct and pull upward.
   
5. Lift the duct out of the chassis, releasing the duct from the pins on the left side of the chassis, and set the air duct aside on an antistatic mat.
6. Consider your next step:

   • If you removed the air duct as part of another procedure, return to that procedure.

   • Otherwise, continue to Install the Air Duct.
