Install the Battery

1. Remove the replacement battery from its packaging.
2. Press the new battery into the battery holder with the positive side (+) facing the server chassis side wall.
3. Install the PCI mezzanine.

   See Install the PCI Mezzanine.

4. Return the server to operation.

   See Returning Server to Operation.

   Note - If the SP is configured to synchronize with a network time server using the Network Time Protocol, the ILOM SP clock will be reset as soon as the server is powered on and connected to the network.

   ---

5. If the SP is not configured to use NTP, you must reset the ILOM service processor clock using the ILOM CLI or the web interface.
