Remove the Battery

1. Prepare the server for service.

   See Preparing the Server for Component Replacement.

2. Remove the PCI mezzanine and place it on an antistatic mat.

   See Remove the PCI Mezzanine.

3. To remove the battery, place your finger between the battery and side wall of the server chassis and push the battery away from the side wall.
4. Twist the battery (either clockwise or counter-clockwise) and lift it out.
