lock - lock tty
lock
Lock access to the current tty until successful re-authentication, by the user account that owns the tty device.
The lock command uses pam(3PAM) for authentication and account management with the PAM service name of "lock". The PAM configuration policy, listed in either /etc/pam.conf or /etc/pam.d/lock, specifies the modules to be used for lock.
A lock screen audit record is written on startup. A success or fail unlock screen audit record is written depending on the outcome of the PAM authentication.
