AD Groups (Oracle ILOM CLI)

The switch supports numerous types of AD groups, namely admin groups, operator groups, and custom groups. Some rules apply for each type:

If your network uses AD admin groups, you must configure those groups on the switch so that members of the admin group can access the switch.

  • Admin groups configured on the AD server must match the admin groups configured on the switch.

  • Admin group names must be 128 characters or less.

  • Admin group names must comply with the standard AD name formats for admin groups.

If your network uses AD operator groups, you must configure those groups on the switch so that members of the operator group can access the switch.

  • Operator groups configured on the AD server must match the groups configured on the switch

  • Group names must be 128 characters or less.

  • Group names must comply with standard AD name formats for operator groups.

If your network uses AD custom groups, you must configure those groups on the switch so that members of the custom groups can access the switch.

  • Custom groups configured on the AD server must match the groups configured on the switch.

  • Group names must be 128 characters or less.

  • Group names must comply with standard AD name formats for custom groups.
