The switch runs a service that supports IPMI management of the switch. The switch's IPMI service supports both IPMI version 1.5 and 2.0. The Oracle implementation of IPMI supports such features as:
FRU-component inventory identification and control.
System monitoring and event reporting, for example through IPMI PETs. (See Enable Alerts to Send PETs (Oracle ILOM Web).)
Logging of system of events, for example, through the Oracle ILOM event log.
System power management, for example, system reset, power off, and power on.
