The switch supports a streamlined upgrade process by using a utility called the nm3Tool. This utility has multiple uses, including:
Downloading and installing the firmware and related software for the switch, the EMS switch, and Oracle ILOM, then performing an upgrade of all pertinent software though one command.
Upgrading the switch with the new firmware and software.
The nm3tool can be used either in command mode by issuing the nm3tool command, or in menu mode by starting the tool, then selecting the appropriate menu item.
