Add AD Custom Groups (Oracle ILOM Web)

If your network uses AD custom groups, you must configure those groups on the switch so that members of the custom group(s) can access the switch. Some rules exist for configuring custom groups. See AD Groups (Oracle ILOM CLI).

  1. Choose ILOM Administration→User Management, and click the Active Directory tab.
  2. Click the Custom Groups link.

The pane scrolls to the Custom Groups section.

  3. Click Edit.

    A pop-up window is displayed.

  4. In the Name field, enter the qualified name in one of these formats:
    • DN format, which consists of CN, OU, DC, DC, and DC suffix.

    • NT Domain format, which consists of domain\admingroup.

    • Full Domain format, which consists of the DC, DC, and DC suffix\admingroup.

    • Simple Name format, which consists of admingroup.

  5. From the Roles drop-down menu, make a selection.
    • Administrator or Operator to set either role and the predefined privileges for it.

    • None (No Assigned Roles) to have no role assigned to the user.

    • Advanced Roles to have a configurable set of privileges assigned.

  6. For Advanced Roles, select the appropriate checkboxes to enable those privileges for the AD user.

For more information, see User Roles and Permissions.

  7. Click Save.
