By default, alerts are disabled. For enabled alerts, you can selectively disable individual rules. When alerts are disabled, the SNMP trap, email, or IPMI PET associated with that rule is no longer sent. The condition that caused the alert still exists, but you are not notified.
-> set /SP/alertmgmt/rules/alert level=disable
where alert is the number of the alert to disable.
For example, to disable alert 1, type:
-> set /SP/alertmgmt/rules/1 level=disable Set 'level' to 'disable' ->
The alert is disabled.
