Updating the Firmware

Language:

Enable IPMI Version 1.5 Sessions (Oracle ILOM Web)

By default, the switch supports IPMI version 2.0, but you can enable IPMI v 1.5 sessions if needed. The switch can support both 1.5 and 2.0 sessions simultaneously.

If IPMI 1.5 sessions are enabled, IPMItool users can use the -I lan option.
If IPMI 1.5 sessions are disabled, IPMItool users must use the IPMI version 2.0 -I lanplus option.
IPMI 1.5 sessions can be enabled only if FIPS service is disabled. See Disable FIPS (Oracle ILOM Web).

Note - IPMI v 1.5 is disabled by default because it is less secure than IPMI v 2.0.

Choose System Information→Management Access, and click the IPMI tab.

Select the Enabled checkbox for State.

Select the Enabled checkbox for v1.5 Sessions.

Click Save.
