Oracle ILOM Module Targets Overview

Oracle ILOM provides a generic target for all I/O modules and does not distinguish between different I/O modules. On each I/O module, Oracle ILOM monitors sensors that report information in either of the following ways:

  • As a discrete sensor, either true (state asserted) or false (state deasserted)

  • As a threshold sensor, which as numerical value for an appropriate unit of measurement, for example a number of degrees of temperature.

This table shows the Oracle ILOM Targets for I/O modules.

Sensor
Condition
Voltage OK
  • State Asserted indicates the voltage sensor is OK.

  • State Deasserted indicates that the voltage sensor is not OK.

Booted
  • State Asserted indicates the module has booted successfully.

  • State Deasserted indicates that the module has not booted successfully.

Fault
This sensor can report different types of information depending on the I/O module type.
  • State Asserted indicates the module is in a fault state.

  • State Deasserted indicates that the module is not in a fault state.

Power On
  • State Asserted indicates the module has powered on successfully.

  • State Deasserted indicates that the module has not powered on successfully.

Critical Temperature
  • State Asserted indicates the temperature on the I/O module is too high.

  • State Deasserted indicates that the voltage sensor is not OK.

Module Temperature
This threshold sensor displays the current module temperature and any applicable temperature thresholds, for example a temperature warning threshold.
