Filter the Oracle ILOM Event Log by Using Predefined Conditions (Oracle ILOM Web)

You can filter the Oracle ILOM event log so that it displays entries that match a criterion you select. The switch has predefined filter criteria based on subsystem and event type, but you also can create custom filters.

  1. Choose ILOM Administration→Logs, and click the Event tab.
  2. From the Filter drop-down menu, select the subsystem or event type to use for filtering.
    • To filter the Event log by all events, or to reset the Event log to its original state after its been filtered, select All Events.
    • To filter by a certain fault type, select Class:Fault.
    • To filter by a certain object affected, select Type:Action.
    • To filter by a critical events, select Severity:Critical.
    • To filter by any component in the “down” state, select Severity:Down.

The log contains only entries that match the criterion you selected.

  3. In the Rows Per Page field, type the number of rows that you want displayed on each page.

The number of rows you set is not persistent across sessions, so if you log out, the number of rows displayed per page resets to the default value (25).

  4. Click OK.
