The switch runs a service that supports IPMI management of the switch. The switch's IPMI service supports both IPMI version 1.5 and 2.0 (the default).
Oracle's implementation of IPMI supports IPMItool. If your network uses IPMItool, you must configure users with the appropriate roles and privileges (such as administrator or operator) for the IPMI management tasks that you will be using.
