Configure Oracle ASR (Oracle ILOM Web)

Oracle Auto Service Request (ASR) speeds and facilitates reporting and issues and opening service requests in the unlikely event that the switch encounters a problem. For more information about Oracle ASR, see Oracle Auto Service Request Software.

If the switch encounters a problem, the ASR client sends ASR information to an endpoint, which is either a URL directly in the Oracle Services organization, or an ASR relay which indirectly connects to Oracle Services. By default, Oracle ASR is disabled.

  1. Set up a valid user name and password with My Oracle Support.
  2. Choose ILOM Administration→Notifications, and click the ASR Client tab.
  3. Click the Enabled for the State checkbox.
  4. In the Endpoint field, type an HTTPS or HTTP URL of the destination that will receive ASR messages.

For example, this could be a specific URL in the Oracle Support organization. The default URL can be used, or you can point the endpoint at an ASR relay.

  5. In the User Name field, type a valid user name for My Oracle Support.
  6. In the Password field, type the password for your My Oracle Support user name.
  7. (Optional) If needed, click Change to change the password for your My Oracle Support user name.
  8. Decide if you will be configuring a proxy for ASR.
  9. Click Save.
